Abstract
This short video discusses the relationship between American popular music and American culture. Specifically, it delves into the top 10 songs of 2019 and their reflections on the modern state of America. Artists include: Lil Nas X, Billy Ray Cyrus, Post Malone, Swae Lee, Halsey, Billie Eilish, Marshmello, Bastille, Ariana Grande, Khalid, Travis Scott, and The Jonas Brothers.

Robby Moore graduated from the University of the Pacific in May of 2021, majoring in Music Industry Studies. While at university he served as the Vice President of Arts & Repertoire at Pac Ave Records and was an audio engineer at the Owens Hall Recording Studio.
