Aims & Scope

The goals for the publication are:

  • Providing learning opportunities for students to further writing and editing skills
  • Recognizing excellence in student writing and music industry analysis
  • Providing publication opportunities for all students in the program
  • Developing student collaboration skills
  • Explore using a range of current online publishing assets such as infographics, rich media, and other forms of visual content
  • Demonstrate relevance of program curriculum to current industry practice
  • To serve both the on campus and larger off campus audience with engaging, timely industry-related content

The scope of the journal is broadly conceived as reporting on any area of the music industry or related fields that are of interest to students, faculty, alumni and practitioners. From time to time, guest contributors such as alumni or noteworthy practitioners may contribute to the journal.
