Author Bio
Kortney Burton (Music Industry Studies, 2020) first discovered her affinity for music when she began playing piano and writing from a young age. She spent a handful of years performing in small coffee shops and writing music in her free time before realizing she would rather be involved in the business side of the industry. She hopes to eventually go into personal management for artists and bands, but is also interested in promotion and marketing. Her interest in artist management stems from a love of planning with a creative outlook, and an interest in overseeing musicians’ development. She wants to be involved in all aspects of an artist’s career by helping them shape their image and reach their potential. She is VP of Art and Production for Pac Ave Records.
