Little Manila Rising - Healing Puso
Abstract/Artist Statement
Operation: E.A.S.Y. (Event Around Self-Yay!) is a community event through Little Manila Rising catered towards supporting mental health for college students. Advocating for self care, there will be a presentation about academic burnout, live music, and free self care goodie bags. The event will mark the end of the T.R.A.C.E. support group (Talk Real About College Experiences) with this in-person meeting. It is meant to give a chance for college students, experiencing a lot of stress a chance to relax. They will also be informed about the way that they can care for themselves in the presentation that has been prepared. The hope is that T.R.A.C.E. can be continued after this project, and encourage more in-person event relevant to T.R.A.C.E. This may be the "last one" hosted by the current college corp fellows, hopefully, it can continue as T.R.A.C.E. or under another project name. This would be a task for the current LMR staff and future college corp students working at that site.
