[4]school work, Anna has a lot of chickens to look after as well as her house work. Cecilia was well at her last writing but Grace still suffers from rheumatism. it is a kind that seemingly cannot be cured but comes and goes. David and Ette are in usual helth and busy with the every day things about the place too. Miss Thayer will come in and occupy Anna's rooms here while her own house is rented which will be soon likely. I shall hope to hear that you are well.Affectionately Sarah.[1]Pacific Grove, Calif.May 28 - 1914My dear brother John:-It seems a long time since I have heard from you, but I suppose that you are still very busy with your writing, and perhaps you will be going away after a while for your vacation which will do you good after your long steady work.Things will be beautiful about your home these days with so much bloom of many kinds. Our garden here is very pretty too, It seems as Remember to Wanda and family - also to Helen when you write.05754
[2]though there had been more bloom than usual after the plentiful winter rains- but the weeds have grown too and have taken a lot of work to clean them out. but then the out of door work is good too. I had a beautiful ride not long since, along the coast and out by the sand domes where the Y.W.C.A grounds have been laid out. Their auditorium built and also Dormitories enouth to accomodate some hundreds of the young people during their summer outings and conventions. The woods are beautiful all around and about the place.[3]so many wild flowers as well as the fine trees.I have only heard from Joanna once since her daughter Bernice's marriage, she was missing her company as she was the one who was at home with her while the other girls were away at their office work. I have not heard from Mary for some time but all were well at her last writing.Anna and her family are well and all very busy Kenneth is doing irrigation work. The man he works for has large places to irrigate and Kenneth is one of the workmen. Marjorie is busy with
