[illegible]San Francisco, Jan. 2nd, 1909.Asahel Curtis Esq.,1115-36th Ave., Seattle, Wash.My Dear Curtis:-I have not heard from you since your previous letter responding to ours regarding the Hetch-Hetchy matter. I trust that you have co-operated all along the line energetically, as I know you all will to the extent of your powers.I am enclosing herewith another copy of the circular letter we sent out to our membership, also copy of a personal letter I sent to three hundred of my friends throughout the East. I am wondering if you could not get a stiff editorial on this topic in the "Post-Intelligencer" or the "Times", or both of them; it would carry great weight if you could.I note by a press dispatch from Washington in this morning's "Chronicle", that the correspondence beginning to arrive in Washington is having some weight with our Representatives there. Shall be glad to hear from you as to what you have done, and with heartiest regards from Marian and myself, I remainYours Faithfully,[illegible]06253
