Remember us all to Mrs Muir and your little Daughters tell them that we will have an opening to the Succotash Valley some day they talk rail road very strong now the trail is as bad it can be a number of those that were in the party last summer will try it again and expect to have a grand time so with bets wishes to all we all join in sending our everlasting thanks

Dear Sis & Friend your letter of last December came to hand the last of Mch & found us one & all in our usual good health & we were very much Pleased to Receive a letter from you & we one & all thank you for even Remembering us away out here in the woods as the saying goes 65 miles from nowheres We Red a letter from D. W. Boss of Seattle today stating that a Party of 7 or 8 would ascend Mount Tacoma on the 4th of July to illuminate it for the Benefit of the good

People of Seattle & Tacoma is well as the other [classes?] & it would give us pleasure to see your with party as I would like to sit & hear you tell about the grand old mountain & its surrounding Country also the Flowers that grow in Paradise Valley. I was up to Paradise Valley in Sept But to late to see the Beautifull flowers that you told us of but I Saw enough of withered and Dried up ones to Convince me that you spake the truth when you Said that the Word Beautiful was the only appropriate name to give it. I [illegible] with you at that. Well I will not tire you longer in Reading my nosensical letters so jump over all mistakes I Remain Respectfully yours

Kind Sir and Friend we received your letter with Plesure and we thank you for remembering us all out here in the woods also for sending our little Daughter Ruth a book she is in Olympia going to school but will be home the 11th of June we mist here very much we would have answered your letter before but I sent it to Ruth and she returned it to us but it never reached us again. we will always remember how you all slept in the lane and Barn we could do better now our house has another storey. also plenty of spring chickens and rise so we can make good broth for the sick. we have the Picture of our cabin and your face is very bright and smiling in it. and we would like to see you with the Party this summer
