Dear David
Your letter of April 16th containing the prescription arrived safely it proved to be the very thing required, as the pain and disagreable feeling has gradualy ceased - except in my shoulder and that is still rubbed every night. My general health is now as good as usual I now take long walks or rides and enjoy them very much
[2]
I thank you very much for both of the prescriptions you have sent me as they were just what was needed. I had a letter from John last week he writes that he intended to make a trip to Wis - this summer but scarlet fever and other maladies had ccost both his work on the Ranch, and also on the Book - for weeks the Publishers have been calling impatiently for copy, now he thinks he will not be able to leave home but will make an extra effort to

- sell part of the ranch so he can have more time for better things [Carrie?] and Annie seems to enjoy living in [illegible] City, they intend making their home there. Mr Owen has bought land there and will build this summer Mary has told us that Annie intends to be married next week she hardly knows how they can get along without here as she has been the housekeeper so long I hope you are all well I expect the children will be attending school
(4) David seems to get on about as usual Since the revival meetings here, quite a large number of both old and young people have united with the church of their choice (much good has been done
