William and Maymie Kimes Annotation
To make the name of the school meaningful to the students, a John Muir Pageant was written and performed by them. The written pageant is Part I of the book. The students' creative writing comprises Part II; "Quotations," Part III; tributes to Muir by various authors, Part IV. No sources are given for the quotations.
