Abstract
This project investigates the origins of the University of the Pacific's tiger mascot, exploring how and why it came to represent the institution. While the tiger is a ubiquitous symbol on campus, the reasoning behind its adoption remains largely unknown to students and faculty alike. Miranda graduated in 2025 with a Media X degree.
