Abstract

This story map project explores Stockton, California's history as a Hollywood filming location, investigating the duality between the city's cinematic appeal—particularly UOP's ivy league aesthetic—and its reputation in mainstream media for crime and urban decline. Akash and Gabe are Mechanical Engineering majors. Gabe completed his degree in 2026. Gionni is studying Computer Science. And Raymond is a Sociology major.
