Introduction/Abstract
Data analytics in sports is very important because it allows teams to utilize data to increase their success, wins, revenue and fan experience. In regards to basketball, there is an immense amount of relevant player data.
Purpose
Through this study, I will conduct a thorough analysis of the Golden State Warriors’ player statistics in order to narrow down the various components that result in the Warrior’s winning their games. I will also examine which combination of players is most ideal. This will assist the coaching staff in determining which starting player roster is superior when considering which player combination to choose.
Method
The data will be derived from basketballreference.com where all of the player statistics are included.
Results
The results will determine the team's high and low points in regards to their players.
Significance
When looking at the big picture, the model will be useful to any team, regardless of level. Moreover, NBA teams, college teams and even high school teams can utilize this model to assist them in winning their games.
