Abstract/Artist Statement
When it comes to dropping off your donations at Goodwill, does it ever occur to you how laborious that job really is? Donation workers are constantly in the elements and putting on a smile so that each donator feels welcomed and appreciated. This project consists of multiple ideas to improve this work environment as well as making these donation workers feel more appreciated for all the hard work that they truly do. Without them, Goodwill would not be able to have the impact that they have on the environment. By taking these donations this company alone manages to keep tons of items out of the landfills and these workers deserve appreciation and attention. The author discovered this by doing their own volunteer work here. Putting in numerous hours, they have experienced working in the scorching hot sun, and the pouring rain, all while still taking donations from each customer that drove up. Their proposed solution to this is to provide items that'll help keep the donation workers safe and protected from the environment as well as provide them with appreciation gifts.
