Abstract/Artist Statement
Little Manila Rising, Healing Puso is a community non-profit organization that is culturally rooted promoting safe spaces and holistic healing for the Stockton Community. Healing Puso is a Filipino Mental Health Initiative that uplifts others through health, fitness and nutrition, mental health therapy, peer support groups, community panels and ancestral rooted healing. Healing Puso offers various online and in-person events that promotes healing. The Little Manila Rising: Healing Puso Community Outreach project is an outreach list to continue relationships within the community, developing deeper connections with Stockton residents. This project will further assist Healing Puso staff to reference back to the outreach that have been made, allowing easy access for promotion in future events. As fellows exit their service, this project will continue to serve Healing Puso, indicating prolonged relationships with other organizations and the community. Furthermore, this project will be utilized as reference in future outreach opportunities, community events, mental and physical services.
