Abstract/Artist Statement

San Joaquin A+ is one of the several non-profits selected to partner with our Pacific CollegeCorps program. They are comprised of educators, philantropists, business leaders and activie citizens who are commited to suport education in Stockton and San Joaquin County. Through the CollegeCorps program, they were able to add 3-5 fellows to their site. Like other organizations, San Joaquin A+ has been able to create an environment where its staff and CollegeCorps members are able to have the choice of working either remotely or in the office. Unfortunately, coming to work in the office may be a lonely experience for fellows as they may not know who's in or who’s working remotely. Also, when contacting individual supervisors, sometimes fellows may need to have a meeting to explain their questions or concerns, but not knowing their availability might add an additional issue and lengthen the time they are dealing with their concerns. The solution is a Google Form, which is linked to a Google Sheet, that is updated weekly either by fellows and/or individually by staff with days and times they will be: working remotely, working in the office and when they have "drop-in" hours. The goal is for CollegeCorp fellows to feel more informed about what’s happening in the office and with their individual supervisors, to promote a hyprid work environment and give a collaborative opportunity for fellows to work and create together.
