Abstract
Project Overview
The proposed system is a web-based platform designed for Business Administration students to evaluate their career readiness. It helps users understand how well their current skills align with industry expectations for specific roles.
Students can create an account, log in, and maintain a personal profile where their assessment results are stored. After logging in, users select a target career path from a predefined list, including Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, Marketing Analyst, and Operations Analyst.
The platform uses manually curated skill data for each role. These skills are identified by analyzing 10–15 LinkedIn job postings per role and are further verified using sources such as Indeed, Glassdoor, and Coursera. Each role includes 8–12 essential skills, which are updated manually by the development team.
Once a career goal is selected, students complete a self-assessment by rating their proficiency in each skill (None, Beginner, Mid, Pro). The system then compares the student’s input with the required skill levels.
Based on this comparison, the platform generates a readiness score (e.g., “You are 45% ready”) along with a clear skill gap analysis. It highlights which skills meet expectations and which require improvement.
AI integration may be included to enhance feedback and scoring, but if not implemented, predefined logic will be used. Students can retake assessments anytime to track progress and improvement over time.
