secure these additional works – I enclose my [Route?] for several weeks to come, & you will see that I shall have leisure in the care for much reading & meditation Now, will you allow me to present for your consideration the preporation of a popular manual on Evolution – [illegible] [just the month?] after general reading public, and also for Acadamies & higher [illegible] [of learning?]The want is great, & every day growing greater – No one can adequately perform the task who is not at once a trained scientist & a [fine?] Christian Such a work would have a large circulation & I have no doubt, that advantaging terms could be made with eminent publishers.
