Dear Danl
I gladly received your letter of May 27th and had hoped to meet you before this time.
I hope you and all your family are well as usual and your dear son [illegible] better every way than he has been
We are all in our usual health again
[2]
for some weeks Sarah was quite sick but is now about as usual and as busy as usual.
Our California friends are all in their usual health Mary & John Reid has been visiting the Fair at San Fran and some of the others are going. David & Ette have been working very hard Ette has often some of Johns workmen boarding with her
[3]
Sarah & two girls are still in the Dry Goods store and seem to enjoy being there. What a great deal of trouble these strikes are making all through this country from what we read about in the Papers we hardly know what to expect next, however Portage affairs seem to move on about as usual
