Martinez, June 2, 1914Dear Miss Denman, I thank you for the kind letter you sent me recently. You ask me to write some more books. I have been hard at work all winter on an Alaska book which may be finished some time this summer, and I have many others in mindBesides the three you mention "My First Summer in the Sierra" "My Boyhood & Youth" and "Stickeen", have been published.I have always said when urged to write that I would not spend precious time writing books until too old to climb mountains. I think you will enjoy the Parks With all good wishes Faithfully yoursJohn Muir
