Dickey]1525 Formosa Ave.,Hollywood, Cal.,Oct. 4, 1912.Dear Mrs. Dickey:It is delightful to hear your cheery All's well from the redwoods, especially that Donald has gained in health, strength and spirits right straight along, as I always hoped he would. Sep. 21st I arrived here on visit to Helen, who has had hard time with sick child and husband. All are well again. The photographs Miss Craig made came from New York by Ex. yesterday. I have to be in Yosemite at the National Parks Convention Oct. 14th, so will have to leave on the 12th. Mrs. Hooker is expected in Los Angeles this week. Yes, I heard the terrible news of Ellie’s sister - a life-long sorrow. With love to Donald,Ever faithfully yours,JOHN MUIR[Envelope addressed Mrs. Anna R. Dickey, C/o L. H.
