3277 Pacific Ave. S. F.May 29My dear friendTo think of your arriving in Los Angeles and our not being there in the old spot. Our belongings are heaped up about us here, while plumbers and carpenters keep up a din all day long. After a while we hope to be settled but meantime only fancy this! I am going to Los Angeles again. I expect to arrive next Monday morning with my brother Edward05203
and his wife. We are to make some motor trips together, just where I don't know till we get there and arrange with Johnson, the chauffeur as to routes. I shall hope to see you. Marian will stay here, she prefers work and studying to motor trips. My eyes are bad and I must not write much.Affectionately yoursKatharine Hooker
