[letterhead][in margin: Send word to Mrs Sellers, Mrs Thompson & Mrs Jones]Hello! Darling Helen,You now seem precious near, for all my wanderings over South America & Africa are done & I start today for New York on the Kaiserin Augusta Victoria of the Hamburg American line. So now there is nothing left of the big hard trip but homegoing with fond hopes of finding you all well. I'm quite well myself & have had wonderful luckin my studies health & everything. I suppose the incomparable boy is now quite manly. I'll be in New York by the 26th of March, but may have to read bookproof for a week or two. Write to me telling me all about Wanda & her wondrous offspring c/o R.U. Johnson. The Century MagazineUnion Square, New YorkEver your devoted fatherJohn MuirNaples, March 15th 1912
