July 7, 1911.John Muir, Esq.850 Madison Avenue, New York.Dear Mr. Muir:-We are puzzled by [illegible] of the 6th just received, to know to what address to send the manuscript you left with us, as you do not give any address, your letter being headed simply "Garrisons on Hudson". However, we de-dide on the address at which our previous letter reached you safely. We are accordingly sending the manuscript to that address. We note the probability of postponed publication on account of magazine publication; and further, that this will not in any way interfere with the ultimate book rights as agreed. We should, however, appreciate the return of the contracts duly executed, and shall be much interested to hear from you with reference to the title. We hope these matters can be settled before you start on your South American, trip.Sincerely yours,[illegible]
