1919 SIXTEENTH STREETWASHINGTON,D.C.May 9, 1911.Mr. David G. Muir,Pacific Grove, Calif.Dear Brother David:I am in Washington for a week or ten days doing what I can on the Hetch Hetchy case. I am sorry that Sarah and Annie Eastman's visit to Los Angeles could not have been made a week or two earlier, so that I could have seen them when I was writing at J. D. Hooker's residence. Before leaving Los Angeles however I visited your daughter Carrie. When I return from a trip that may last most of the year in South America, I will be glad to call on Mrs. Foster as you suggest. With kind regards to all the family, I am,Faithfully your brother,[illegible]
