104Martinez, Oct 27/09Dear Mr JohnsonI had a good telling time with the President Taft & Sec. Ballinger in Yosemite & Hetch Hetchy. Everything looks promising for our side of the fight. tho of course nothing quotable has yet been given out Colby & the club are hard at work on a new pamphlet & plans to get at least the Hetch Hy part of the garfield grant revoked & legislation to stop for good the violation of national parks in general. Just as I was leaving the park & took a severe cold like grippe & have been laid up ever since with perpetual b[illegible]ing headache. But am getting better & hope to be able to work soonEver faithfully yours John Muir
