[1]California Hospital, Los AngelesApril 1st 1909Dear Papa-I am feeling fine this morning Dr Cole came in after his two days out of town & thought I had done well during his absence - could see a decided improvement in my tongue's appearance & told me I could have all I wanted to eat from now on. I asked him about the Honolulu trip & he was very enthusiastic about it - said it would be fine to build me up, but said I should not stay on the coast or in San Francisco more than a day, but that the trip itself would be a fine thing. While in San04467 [2]Francisco Dr Cole wants me to see Dr. Moffitt & have him examine me again. He said I could start on the trip just as soon as I had b[illegible] on my feet & going around a little. When did Burroughs & "his two women" intend to start? Let me know. If you really decide to take me on this trip, of course I'll have a little visit with Wanda, but dont tell anyone else Im coming north as I want to be a surprise.I'll write you every day till you tell me your coming back.LovinglyHelen04467
