Darling Helen:

All goes well here & you know how delightful to me are tidings of your brave march to health The greatest danger is from colds, keep out high winds & away from those suffering from colds or Grippe. & never go to town in stormy weather or anything like it. & keep warm especially around your lungs. Tom's away on Ham Hall's Lake Eleanor business. Wanda & the baby are well. I have Mr Schmitt a Sierra Club man typewriting. He's pretty slow but a plodder. The place here looks fine. The only weedless place in the Valley Grapes most gone, but can glean another box or two if you want them

Ever thine John Muir
