[letterhead]At the ranch -June 26 - 08Dear Papa -Im feeling better and happier than ever for it is so gloriously hot - 105° - 108° - 109°, and as it goes up I feel better and my spirits rise with the heat. There's nothing like the desert in summer. Mr Van Dyke feels the same - the warmer it gets the better he is. We are all happy to know Stickeen is finished - when do you start for the desert? I hope you'll enjoy the04232 summeryness as much as we do. Mary dont like it.If you have room bring me some more red geranium cuttings when you come - I'll plant them inside my fence.Good-bye for todayAlways yoursHelen
