Martinez, April 22, 1908.

Dear Bradley Brown:

I'll be delighted to see [you] coming so far out of the Auld lang syne. When you are in San Francisco, get a ticket to Muir at the office of the Santa Fe' Railway at the Ferry Building, foot of Market St[reet]. One train leaves the city about 8.30 or 9 in the forenoon and one at 4 P.M. Muir station is on the side of our ranch about a l/3d of a mile from the house and distant from the city about l-l/2 hours. Let me know as soon as possible the day you will be here and the train you will come on so that I will be on hand to meet you. There is nothing now in sight to call me from home within the next two weeks, but write as soon as you can.
Yesterday I was three score and ten years young. I don't feel a bit older to-day than I did when I first made your acquaintance at the Log Schoolhouse drawing wisdom from George Branch.
Hoping to find you equally young and happy, I am ever,

Yours faithfully,
John Muir.
