Dear Papa -
This is a beautiful day full of sunshine, and I am feeling sunshiney too. I am going out to sun myself under a creosote bush. Everything here is all right. The new house is fine and we are comfortably settled in it. Dick Van Dyke finished putting on the batons the day after you left so it is all snug now. We are very careful about the stove and never open the draft. It warms up the room quickly so it is comfortable when I get up these cold mornings. It was 30° this a.m. My porch is a great success, and I sleep lots better than I did in the house, and have had no trouble keeping warm at night.
