The IndependentFOUNDED IN 1848130 FULTON STREETNEW YORKEDITORIAL ROOMSTelephone 3928 CORTLANDTCable Address INDEFULT NEW YORKAugust 29, 1910.Prof. William F. Bade,Berkeley, Cal.My dear Professor Bade:-Thank you for your letter received. I am still hearing comments of your editorial "Educational Obscurantism".When you get time be sure to send us in that prospectus for the series on Sunday Schools. I think I shall not have much difficulty in winding Dr. Ward to a proper receptive frame of mind.Your article on "Pinchot and Hetch Hetchy" has turned the Century Club upside down. I have had any number of people speak to me about it. I think also Dr. Ward handled Bishop McFaul very well.I have forgotten the name and address of the gentleman on The Bulletin. I think I have destroyed the correspondence.By all means try to get something from Secretary Dickinson, when he returns.Very truly yours,[illegible]Managing Editor,H/W04300
