My dear Mrs Carr
Your kind note just received I hope to get to Pasadena some time after the rush of grape troubles are over for the season & of course will see you all with great pleasure But you will probably be in S.F. before my southern flight is made and we will look for a visit from you. We are all pretty well. Mrs Strentzel the invalid is much better than she was a few months ago. I will be very glad to see you. It was on my last summers ramble in the Sierra that I fell in with Mr Lukens & he was very kind to me when I was hungry & weary With kind regards to the boys I am ever yours John Muir
