My dear Mrs. Carr:
Your kind note just received. I hope to get to Pasadena some time after the rush of grape troubles are over for the season and of course will see you all with great pleasure. But you will probably be in S. F. before my southern flight is made and we will look for a visit from you. We are all pretty well. Mrs. Strentzel the invalid is much better than she was a few months ago and will be very glad to see you. It was on my last summer's ramble in the Sierra that I fell in with Mr. Lukens and he was very kind to me when I was hungry and weary. With kind regards to the boys, I am,
Ever yours,
John Muir
