My dear Mr. Muir,
You are just too good and kind altogether! But if the delight of the recipient of a gift makes part of the thanks to the donor, you certainly are most heartily thanked. for this particular recipient is genuinely delighted. I have wanted so much to possess the Mountains of California, and now to have it from you makes it doubly precious. Many many thanks.
Faithfully yours, Marion Delany.
