Mr. E. Henry Harriman,
1 E. 55th Street,
New York.
Dear Mr. H[arriman]:
I heartily thank you for a copy of your magnificent Alaska book and 5 copies of my sketch of the glaciers. The introductory volumes of general interest are truly magnificent, and with the scientific volumes to follow will make a valuable contribution to our knowledge of Alaska, afford pleasure and instruction, and spread worldwide the fame of the H.A. E. [Harriman Alaskan Expedition].
Never before has the wonderful Alaskan Coast been so superbly illustrated.
With kindest regards and a crowd of pleasant recollections, I am, my dear Sir,
Faithfully yours,
J. M.
