Sir:
Your letter of the 23d instant addressed to the President, protesting against the granting of the application of the City of San Francisco for reservoir sites in the Yosemite National Park for municipal water-supply purposes, so far as the same relates to the Hetch Hetchy Valley, has been referred to the Department for consideration.
In response thereto, you are informed that your letter will receive careful attention when the case comes up for action.
