P.S.
A box has just come to my address - aunt Ette seems to be in the secret and says it is from Wanda and the contents are for mother except the gloves, which are for me - but alas they are too small for my great hands for I wear 7 3/4.
Many thanks to Wanda and a happy and prosperous New Year to her and Tom.
So glad aunt Maggie is even a little better.

Dear uncle John:
A happy New Year to you and Helen and many thanks to you for your generous gift at Christmas time. Indeed [we were?] family s[illegible] under this year.- presents, letters with kindest wishes, post cards from Atlantic to Pacific and from New Orleans to Vancouver, B.C. I can do nothing save to say thank you to all the dear people who so lovingly thought of me and mine.
Helen touched the very spot when she sent candy. I think most children are fond of

candy and mine are especially so. Many thanks.
The children are happy because of a two weeks vacation. Kenneth has been getting me some wood and he and uncle David have been doing some famous fishing. We have not had our vacation picnic yet for I have been having a little grippe and so could not go with them and it would not be a picnic unless Mama went unless perhaps Miss Thayer was here to go with them.
I hope by this aunt Maggie is some better. We think of her every day and hope for good news when a letter comes.
Again wishing you and yours a happy New Year, I am
Affectionately, your niece,
Anna Galloway Eastman.
