Dear Muir:
It is a long time since we have had any word from you, and I don't know whether you were in the earthquake belt or where. Naturally we feel anxious. If this comes to your hand, will younot please let us know as soon as possible where youare, and what you are, and who you are, and whatthe thunder you are doing.
I have been in bed for 4 days trying to have pneumonia, but am about to give it up in disgust.
When you come this way again, please bring me a full-sized Sequoia for my Library Roof-garden.
Remember us all to the girls.
With love,
Always Your Friend,
