My dear Prof Anderson
I hope your wheeling was all happy. I have just read your [review?] & criticising of the Century names. hope it will do good. This job must have cost you much hard work. It is admirably done--fair scholarly. I happen to know something about this work of names
& I know that your judgment of it is wise & true all through. Thanks for your kind notice of your devoted and admiring friend
John Muir.
We all greatly enjoyed your & Prof [Grim's?] visit & hope you will do the same fine thing again.
