My dear Mr. Merriam,
Yours of the 4th just received. I wrote about a week ago stating I would go. I'm delighted to learn that Burroughs, Brewer, and Chas. Keeler are going. I wish you would wire me when the party leaves New York. Also let me know the Seattle headquarters. Anticipating an extra pleasant and instructive trip, I am with much cause for thanks
Very truly yours,
JOHN MUIR
