My dear Mr. Muir:

Since writing you last, John Burroughs has positively accepted, as have also Prof. Wm H. Brewer of Yale, Wm E. Ritter of the University of Calif., Chas. A. Keeler and others.
I trust you have by this time arranged matters so that you can say positively that you will go. The ship will sail from Seattle on or about May 31.
In case you have not already written, will you kindly wire me on receipt of this, as that I can give complete returns to Mr. Harriman.

Hoping to meet you soon.

Very truly yours

C. Hart Merriman
