My dear Mr Page

My friend Dr E.R. Taylor writes me that his new book of verses is ready for publication & that he is going to offer it to Houghton Mifflin & Co. This is the book I spoke to your about last fall. I wish it good luck & therefore will be glad to hear of its acceptance by your firm.
I am pegging away at the woods amid many distracting grippy interuptions that Silva river I find a big touch rugged job.

Ever Cordially yours

John Muir
