My dear Mr Johnson
Let me hear a word from you as to the reestablishment of your health & general welfare. I have heard [illegible]tly faint news of you through Mr Armes & Robinson. C[illegible] bill reducing the area of the Yo. National Park needs watching. I have been [desperately?] busy & barren this summer. My foreman left me all the ranch work to do & the Strentzel estate had to be settled – hope for some leisure hereafter Have first [draft?] of Alaska articles only –
Ever Cordially Yours John Muir
