My dear Mr Johnson -
I have just written to our congressmen, every mothers son of them on the copyright bill & marvel greatly at my termerity in thus plunging recklessly into this new field of literature. I forward corrected proof of the Yo. article today. When you telegraphed for a description of the Tuolumne region I was busy on an independent article on the big Canon none of which was available as an addition to the Yo article. Therefore I had to dash off what I sent you which I fear you will find to be mere geography & hard to splice on the yo. After you are done with the M.S. please return it as I may use the unpublished portion in other articles.
