I got the deed to the three acres to-day and filed it for record but owing to the work ahead of it we cannot get it for three weeks; but it is all right as it is in effect from the date of filing. I will send it as soon as I can get it. I have offerred if ro #2,000. for acre but now I think that I shall put the price up.
David has sent over 1000.$ to invest for him. We are all well and J. & Dott go riding once or twice each day.

Herewith I hand you Warranty Deed to three acres of land described as follows tosit: West 1/2 of 6 acres of land in SW/[illegible] of SEc 9[illegible]) ten town 49 Rauge 38: Commencing at a point 11 cls & 6 links west [stricken word] and 10 cls & 9 Links North of the SE co'r of the SW 1/4 of Src'10 L49R33 their West and paralel with the South river of Said [illegible] Five Cl's & 26 Links. To a joint, then 'North Nos 8 degrees 3d E cl's & 216 Links to a point, then E to cl's & 26 links then South Nor'80 30' E 11 sls' & 26 links to place of begining, containing three acres fo alnd sold Mch 6th 1886 by Paul K. Condor to John Muir. The deed would have been done sooner but [illegible] Court House in which the Recorder had his office bloew down in our great Storm of May 11th, the Record Books were not damagged as only the two upper Stories were destroyed. I have a chance to trade or sell just now and it may be that I can do so to good results. We have a good deal and it will make good money, I have [illegible]000.$ here from David waiting for a deal as good. Love to all, Truly Walter Brown
