Dymally, Mervyn: Moscone's senate record
Abstract
Mervyn Dymally: You didn’t have to lobby George about an issue, you know. “George, I need your vote on this issue.” You know that if it were a progressive issue, then George was there with you, and that’s what I liked about George. You knew he was there. Oh God was I broken. And to think that this man had shot two prominent members of the San Francisco government was acquitted. My wife thinks that George has been robbed of his legacy because attention was focused on another supervisor and not as much attention was paid to him, and she can’t figure it out because George had a spectacular record in Sacramento in terms of actual authorship of legislation and leadership of the Democratic Majority.
