Nancy Pelosi: George Moscone was a progressive Italian American, which says a lot about his roots, Italian, family, Catholic; all of that. And George Moscone was a passionate progressive. He fought with some risk to his own political wellbeing for leading issues. He was cutting edge when it came to the issues that related to the Gay community.
