traps up the mtn[mountain] Caught shrews & mice. 25th Anchored at Yak last eve. Went back to examine traps this morning. Waited 3 hrs for the trappers Then sailed for Orca P[Prince] William Sound. Had grand view of alps from Anchorage. But fog & clds[clouds] shut out all the glorious show today. 24. Stopping for soundings in thin fog. Glorious clearing at 3 P.M. Along the north side of P Wil Sound[Prince William Sound] & W ward[westward] the richest most [Drawing: Ind [Indian] Summer village. Yak [Yakutat] Bay]
