Only the La Perouse Gl[acier] touches the sea at high tide & is on the north side white & bluffy with blue spots where bergs & crumbled masses have fallen The waves melting the ice taluses. This is the only gl[acier] I know wh[ich] illustrates the very first-stage of decadence The amount of moraine material is enormous At the N[orth] side of La Perouse Gl[acier] the forests have been uprooted to some extent by the gl[acier] - as with case of the Brady [Sketch: 2 ms[miles] above No 2. 1 m[ile] wide (3)]
