May Monday 13 1895 Warm, almost hot, wind northerly. Ground drying fast.
Tuesday 14 Very warm, almost sultry. Hills beginning to show tawny.
Wednesday 15 Calm, hot, the air dusty & dim in instant views. Cloudy & cooler towards evening threatening rain.
Thursday 16 Cloudy in the morning, but clearing. Commenced cutting hay, with new mower.
